United Way thanking donors with free music

LEWISTOWN – The United Way of Mifflin-Juniata is sponsoring a month of music as a thank you to everyone who helped with the 2016 fundraising campaign, which raised more than $450,000.

There is no cover charge.

Mifflin County events include:

Sept. 1 – 7-9 p.m., The Wildside, at Smitty’s Sports Bar and Grill, Milroy;

Sept. 8 – 12-2 p.m., Tom Yoder, at Cafe Madora, Lewistown;

Sept. 15 – 7-9 p.m., Huff, Gordon and Orndorff, at Big Daddy’s Grill-N-Chill, Lewistown;

Sept. 22 – 12-2 p.m., Greg DeVecchis, at Downtown OIP, Lewistown;

Sept. 29 – 7-9 p.m., John White, at J.P. Edward’s Grill and Bar, Burnham; and 7-9 p.m., Aaron Bossinger, at Country Village Restaurant and Lounge, Yeagertown.

Juniata County events include:

Sept. 1 – 6-8 p.m., Rhyne McCormick, at the Juniata Valley Winery, Mifflin;

Sept. 8 – 6-8 p.m., Truth Seekers, at the Clubhouse Grill and Restaurant, Mifflintown;

Sept. 15 – 7-9 p.m., Blue Heron, at Olivero’s Winery, McAlisterville;

Sept. 22 – 6-8 p.m., Sasparilla, at the Clubhouse Grill and Restaurant, Mifflintown;

Sept. 29 – 6-8 p.m., Pishima, at Harshbarger’s Sub N’ Malt, Mifflintown.
