Event to be held on Sept. 3

BURNHAM – Burnham Community Day will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 3 on North Beech Street in Burnham.

Breakfast will be served from 7 to 10 a.m., and lunch from noon to 2 p.m. at the New Life Church on Beech Street. A pancake breakfast is $3; pancakes with eggs and sausage is $4. For lunch, barbecue chicken is $4; barbecue chicken with baked beans, macaroni salad and roll is $6.

The 5K Adult Grace Run/Walk will begin at 8:30 a.m. from the circle on Fifth Avenue. For more information, call 242-1481.

From 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., there will be a Car and Bike Show, including the All American Cruizers Car Club and Touring Friends Motorcycle Club in the parking lot of Heller Hoenstine Funeral Home.

Tillie’s Sunshine Clown will entertain children from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Beech Street.

A Vietnam Veterans Memorial Service will take place at 1 p.m. at the circle on Fifth Avenue.

The Burnham Community Day raffle drawing will be held at 2 p.m. at the information booth located across from the Burnham Fire Co.

The “Dog House,” sponsored by the Burnham High School alumni, will be open from 9:30 a.m. to noon. It is located behind the Burnham Municipal Building on First Avenue.

Due to crowded streets, people are asked to leave pets at home.
