Fourth of July events

Organizations planning non-profit events to celebrate the Fourth of July are invited to send information to The Sentinel for weekly free publication until the time of the event. Submit information to Jane Cannon Mort at The Sentinel, email jmort@lewistownsentinel.com or call 248-6741, ext 115.

July 1 – Lewistown Community Band’s annual Let Freedom Ring concert will take place at 7 p.m. in front of The Embassy. Rain date is July 3.

July 2 – The Embassy’s “All Day Libertyfest” will run from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m., featuring live music from The Wrecking Crew, Laskaris’ Hot Dog Eating Contest, WCHX broadcasting live from atop the theatre marquee, River Valley Idol finals, fireworks, vendors, a free movie night outside on the wall, and a performance by Margaret McCann’s Dance Troupe.

• July 2 – 9:30 p.m. Fireworks in downtown Lewistown, launched across the river bridge in the MCIDC Plaza.

• July 4 – Fourth of July Celebration in East Waterford, including arts and crafts, flea market, food, children’s activities, music, a parade, car show, entertainment and more.
