2 min read

SELINSGROVE – Registrations are now being accepted for middle and elementary school ages for the GENEROO organization’s theatre camp.

The deadline is July 8. The camp is being held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. July 11 to 16 at The Degenstein Theatre at Susquehanna University.

The cost of the weeklong camp is $25 per camper. Busing will be provided for western Snyder County campers daily, with pick-up at West Snyder Elementary School and Midd-West High School’s Route 522 lot. Each camper will receive a T-shirt, participate in a theatre production and go on a field trip to see a Broadway production.

The camp will culminate with the production of Robert Fulgrum’s “All I Really Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten” at 6 p.m. on July 15 16 at The Degenstein Theatre at Susquehanna University.

On July 16 there will be a New Playwright showing of an original play called “Screaming for Nothing,” written by Ian Felker, a Penn State University play writing and theatre student. Felker’s play is at 5 p.m., followed at 7 p.m. by the theatre camp production. Light refreshments will be available between shows on Saturday. The public is invited to attend the free performances. A donation will be collected at the door.

This year’s Theatre Camp is being sponsored by the Susquehanna University Theatre Department.
