McALISTERVILLE – Pennsylvania Partners in the Arts awards grants were awarded to regional recipients Oct. 22 during a ceremony at Olivero’s Winery in McAlisterville.
Through a partnership with the PA Council on the Arts, the funding provides grants to eligible organizations or individuals to conduct community arts projects.The loacl grants are awarded by Community Partnerships RC&D, which oversees the program for Juniata, Mifflin, Montour, Northumberland, Perry, Snyder and Union counties. The grants are for activities conducted between Sept.1 this year, and Aug. 31, 2016.
The maximum award is $2,500, with the average award around $1,100, and some awards above and below this amount. Funding decisions are made by volunteer panels of local citizens assembled by Community Partnerships in association with the PCA.
