South Hills Altoona campus earns national accreditation honor

1 min read

ALTOONA -- South Hills School of Business & Technology’s Altoona campus has been recognized as a 2025-26 School of Excellence by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges.

The designation recognizes institutions that demonstrate high academic quality, student success and continuous improvement. To earn the recognition, schools must complete the accreditation process without outstanding compliance findings and exceed the average graduation and employment rates of ACCSC-accredited institutions.

The award marks the second consecutive accreditation cycle the Altoona campus has received the designation. As a result, ACCSC extended the campus’ accreditation term to six years beginning in September 2026.

“As someone who conducts ACCSC accreditation visits nationwide, I know firsthand how difficult it is to earn the School of Excellence designation,” Natalie Beaver, South Hills’ director of education and regulatory affairs, said in a statement. “To receive this recognition for a second consecutive accreditation cycle is something our entire Altoona campus should be incredibly proud of.”

The Altoona campus will be recognized during the 2026 ACCSC Professional Development Conference in San Antonio on Sept. 18.
