MILROY -- MCS Bank has announced the appointment of Peter Ort as Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, along with recent promotions of Randa Riefer, Assistant Vice President of Marketing; Barbara Clark, Assistant Vice President of Deposit Operations, and Duane McMullen, Accounting Manager/Commercial Loan Underwriter.
Ort's responsibilities include overall management of MCS Bank's retail banking operations and strategic plan execution.
Peter Ort
A Mifflin County native, who is passionate about the community and volunteerism, Ort has dedicated time serving in present or past leadership positions for the Bob Perks Fund, Fairview Bible Church, Mifflin County Christian Academy, Juniata River Valley Chamber of Commerce, Mifflin County Scholarship Foundation, Mifflin-Juniata Employer Advisory Council and Lewistown Rotary Club.
Peter and his wife, Melanie, reside in Lewistown. They are proud parents of three children, Kyle, Ashlyn, and Grant.
Randa Reifer
Riefer joined MCS Bank in 2009 and has held various positions of increasing responsibility during her tenure. She is a passionate advocate for community banking and is dedicated to ensuring employee engagement and exceptional customer service delivery.
A participant in various community groups over the years, Randa most recently became involved in an outreach program that began as a one-time presentation to discuss banking products to students at Mifflin County Academy of Science and Technology. As a result she received a regularly scheduled block in the Academy's educational program. She is not only teaching students how to write a check, understand credit scoring, or how to apply for a loan, she has become a mentor. She quickly became involved in programs such as Skills USA, HOSA and National Technical Honor Society, and was invited to be a board member with the Academy's Scholarship Foundation.
Riefer resides in Lewistown with her partner, Chrisy. They enjoy raising three amazing daughters, Ryleigh, Evie and Grayce.
Barbara Clark
Previously serving as Assistant Vice President of Deposit Operations, Barb Clark has been promoted to Retail Operations Officer. In this role, she oversees daily operations and staffing of bank branches in Mifflin, Snyder, and Huntingdon counties.
Clark joined MCS Bank in 2007 as a Customer Service representative. During her tenure she has held various positions of responsibility, including roles in compliance and deposit operations. Her current role allows her to leverage her skills in personnel development and mentoring.
In her personal time, she enjoys watching wildlife in her backyard and traveling to beaches around the world.
Barb resides in Lewistown with her husband, Nick, and their children, Levi and Mia.
Duane McMullen
McMullen holds degrees from South Hills School of Business and Technology and Saint Francis University. He began his banking career in 2012 as a CSR and later held positions in both accounting and credit. He has public-sector experience, having worked in local Government as a field assessor, where he earned his State Certified Public Evaluation (CPE) license.
A Member and Assistant Treasurer of the Rotary Club of Lewistown, Duane currently is also a board member of MCIDA and is a member in the Assessor's Association of Pennsylvania (AAP). In his personal time, McMullen enjoys watching his kids' sporting events and spending time outdoors. McMullen resides in Lewistown with his wife, Kara, and their children, Harper and Ellis.
