Direct Dental Care opens new location

LEWISTOWN -- Formerly owned by Dr. John Bauman, Direct Dental Care has been providing dental care to the residents of Mifflin County for over four decades and will continue to at a new address, 120 East Market St., Lewistown.
For the past year, Simar P. Kaur, D.D.S. has been slowly updating the practice, since she took over, almost three years ago. She believes the new location will not just improve the practice, but will significantly enhance the community's dental care experience.
"This area has such a large need for new dentists, not just Lewistown, but all of the nearby areas," she said. "We offer up-to-date, sophisticated, and affordable dental care for all of our patients."
The newly-renovated, spacious location will not only allow Direct Dental to expand its team, but also provide fast-paced, convenient care to the community.
Direct Dental's new location in downtown Lewistown is equipped with the best equipment and technology dentistry has to offer, including new 3D imaging, digital impressions, virtual smile designing and same-day restoring procedures are all currently available through Direct Dental. Additionally, the new location plans to offer surgical operations monthly for patients that require special dental care that is not offered elsewhere.
Kaur attended New York University where she received her Doctorate of dental surgery. She is trained in preventative, cosmetic, restorative, and orthodontic services. She continues to educate herself and her staff members on the latest in dentistry. She has most recently become specialized in Airways and Sleep Apnea and plans to implement this into her practice.
The practice will now offer sleep apnea devices and specialized services to adults and children who struggle with the widely undiagnosed issue. Kaur said, "We hope to diagnose and treat our patients accordingly. By treating our patients dentally, we hope to help our patients excel in other fields of life."
