MIFFLINTOWN -- Juniata Valley Financial Corp., parent company of The Juniata Valley Bank, appointed Michael W. Wolf to the position of Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at The Juniata Valley Bank.
Wolf, whose appointment took effect on Feb. 21, 2022, has been employed by the bank since Sept. 2021. In June 2022, he was appointed to the position of senior vice president and chief financial officer.
He brings 25 years of experience in the financial services industry, including public accounting and internal audit experience. He has served as a vice-president at Middlefield Bank, Northwest Bank and Dollar Bank, and he has also held the title of Controller at several community banks throughout his career. Outside of the workplace, Mr. Wolf has served as a member of the Accounting Advisory Counsel for the Financial Managers Society. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Finance from the University of Pittsburgh, along with a Certificate of Accounting from Robert Morris University.
Wolf's commitment to community service is exemplified by the civic activities in which he participates. He is currently a board member of the Juniata County Historical Society and a member of the American Battlefield Trust and the Gettysburg Foundation. While living in Western Pennsylvania he was a volunteer firefighter, and board member for the American Red Cross, House of Hope, Habitat for Humanity, and March of Dimes. In his spare time, he enjoys hunting, fishing, and history -- with a focus on the American Civil War.
