PFBC business meeting is scheduled for Monday

Pa. Game Commission asks public to report turkey sightings

HARRISBURG — The Pennsylvania Game Commission again is seeking input from the public in surveying wild turkeys this summer. The Annual Pennsylvania Wild Turkey Sighting Survey runs through Aug. 31. Public participation is important for turkey population management. Survey data allow the agency to determine total wild turkey productivity and compare long-term reproductive success within Pennsylvania and across states, as this is a standard methodology used across the country. Pennsylvania Game Commission seeks feedback from license-buyers

HARRISBURG — The Pennsylvania Game Commission is asking hunters to provide feedback on their antlerless deer license buying experience this summer. The Game Commission wants to hear from hunters on how the process is working. USDA now accepting applications to help offset milk loss due to H5N1

WASHINGTON — The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) began accepting applications on July 1 through its updated Emergency Assistance for Livestock, Honeybees, and Farm-raised Fish Program (ELAP) to provide financial assistance to eligible dairy producers who incur milk losses due to Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza, also known as H5N1 infection in their dairy herds.
