Juniata County Dairy Promotion pointers
Hi, my name is Jayde Sweger and I’m a Juniata County Dairy Miss.
Being on the dairy court is so rewarding by being able to promote the dairy industry. Did you know that 73% of calcium available in the food supply is provided by milk and other dairy products that we consume every day. Milk arrives at the store within 48 hours of leaving the farm. Cows spend 30 minutes a day drinking, 3 to 5 hours a day eating, and 12 to 14 hours a day resting. Here is a cool recipe to make for those dog days of summer.
Peanut butter cup dessert
3 cups graham cracker crumbs
1 and 1/2 cups Peanut butter
3/4 cup of granulated sugar
3 – 4oz. Boxes of instant chocolate pudding
4 and 1/2 cups of milk
1 tub of cool whip
Melt peanut butter mix with graham cracker crumbs and sugar. Press in a 9Ö13 pan and chill for 1 hr. Mix pudding and milk together until stiff. Spoon on to top of chilled graham cracker mixture. Top with Cool Whip and chill.
