Snyder County Farmers winter meeting is Feb. 14
MIDDLEBURG — Farmers who attend the Snyder County Farmers winter meeting on Friday, Feb. 14, 2025 will learn about important topics, including ways to increase soil organic matter and rainfall infiltration in crop fields, local and federal opportunities available for farmers, ways to improve pastures, way to improve a woodlot, ways to prevent pesticide drift, the best ways to manage crop pests and more.
Visit local vendors before the meeting and during breaks. The meeting will be at Christ Community United Methodist Church, 3939 Park Rd., Selinsgrove. Doors open at 8:30 a.m. The meeting is from 9 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. and is sponsored by the Snyder County Conservation District (SCCD).
The meeting and lunch are $5 per person. Pay when you arrive that day. Call the SCCD at (570) 837-3000, extension 0, to reserve (or email sccd@snydercd.org) by Friday, Jan. 31. The SCCD is securing pesticide and nutrient management credits from the PA Department of Agriculture.
