HARRISBURG -- In the coming months, the U.S. Department of Agriculture's (USDA) National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS) will conduct the Vegetable Grower Inquiry Survey. The agency plans to collect data from vegetable growers across the United States, including over three thousand in the Northeastern Region.
NASS conducts this vegetable survey once per year to obtain the final acreage, production, and value of sales for fresh and processed vegetables.
NASS will compile and analyze the survey data and publish the results in a series of USDA reports, including the Annual Vegetable Release, scheduled for Feb. 12, 2025.

Rural Energy for America Program
BRUNSWICK, Maine -- USDA Secretary Tom Vilsack has announced that USDA is partnering with farmers and small businesses to expand access to clean energy and lower energy bills through the Rural Energy for America Program (REAP) and the Rural Energy for America Technical Assistance Grant Program. USDA is investing $163 million in loans, grants and technical assistance that will support 338 clean energy projects in 39 States and Guam. Many of the projects are funded by the Inflation Reduction Act.
USDA has invested more than $2.2 billion through REAP in 7,566 renewable energy and energy efficiency improvements.
