MEXICO — The 47th annual Juniata County Dairy Princess Pageant was held on May 21, at the Walker Grange, Mexico. There is not a dairy princess in Juniata County this year, but 10 young people in the dairy court look forward to promoting the dairy industry in Juniata County during 2023-24.
During the program each court member was introduced and asked a dairy fact question, and Dairy Ambassador Kera Bentz recited a poem about the farmer.
Juniata County Dairy Promotion held several fundraisers during the past year for the Fil A Glass with Hope campaign and met their goal of $5,000, which was presented to the Juniata County Food Pantry during Sunday’s program. The highlight of the event was the presentation of Juniata County’s incentive awards. The awards are based on the number of promotions each court member participated in during the past year. Following the program root beer floats were enjoyed by those in attendance.
