Brooke Kodish and Kyle Rutledge are engaged to be married on July 9 at Logan Ridge Estates in Hector, New York.
She is the daughter of Kevin and Shelly Kodish, of Lewistown, and the granddaughter of Gloria Runk, of Lewistown, David Runk, of Lewistown, and Helen Kodish and the late Carl Kodish, of Lewistown.
She is a 2006 graduate of Lewistown Area High School. In 2010, she graduated from Bloomsburg University, where she received a bachelor’s degree in early childhood and elementary education. She also obtained a master’s degree in special education from Bloomsburg University in 2012. She is employed as a special education teacher for the Corning-Painted Post School District in Corning, New York.
He is the son of Jeff and Cindy Rutledge, of Corning, New York, and the grandson of Lawrence Rutledge, of West Chester, Nancy Hull, of Seattle, Washington, and May Gross and the late Jacob Carl Gross, of Corning, New York.
He is a 2006 graduate of Bradford Central High School. In 2012, he received a bachelor’s degree in physical education from the State University of New York at Brockport. He is obtaining a master’s degree in health and special education from the State University of New York at Cortland, from which he plans to graduate in 2016. He is employed as a physical education and academic intervention services teacher for the Dundee Central School District in Dundee, New York, where he also coaches basketball and soccer.
