Peacheys celebrate 50th anniversary
Jonathan E. Peachey, of Lewistown, and P. Lynn (Geckle) Peachey, of Mount Union, were united in marriage on June 7, 1969.
Jon retired from New Holland, Belleville, and Lynn retired from The Area Agency on Aging, Lewistown.
They have two children, Tammy and John. Tammy, of Williamsport, is married to Wayne Sheppard and has two daughters, Hannah and Rachel. John, of Senioa, Ga., is married to Jennifer, and has two sons, Zach, of Philadelphia, and Gaige, 10.
They are active members of Maple Grove Mennonite Church in Belleville.
They both are enjoying early retirement together in their newly built Reedsville home with their two papillon dogs, Izzy and Sadie.
Jon volunteers three days a week at the hospital and keeps busy with church and working around the house and yard.
Lynn is part of a dulcimer group, takes guitar lessons and enjoys caring for her Uncle Bob at Valley View.
They both are active at the local gym. They spend a lot of time together at their cabin near Greenwood Furnace State Park.
They would say their greatest joys are their children and their spouses, and their grandchildren.
