They were married on Aug. 26, 1978, in Smithtown, New York.

They celebrated their special anniversary with a quiet dinner.

The couple has two children, Joseph Maroney, of Lewistown, and Jessica Demi, of Yeagertown, and three grandchildren, Alexis Maroney, Cameron Demi and Julia Demi.

He is employed at Trinity Plastics, and she is employed at Giant Food.
