Ronald G. and Karen E. (Setzler) Bonson, of Milroy, recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.
They were married on June 6, 1966, at Evangelical Methodist Church in New Lancaster Valley, by the Rev. Paul E.J. Fultz.
The couple celebrated their special anniversary by re-affirming their vows and having a picnic with family and friends.
They are the parents of: Ronald and wife, Jean, of Lewistown; Don and wife, Diana, of Beaver Springs; and Glen (Chuck) and wife, Janette, of Mifflintown.
They have 11 grandchildren: Autum Carpenter, Amanda Mitch, Tiffney Mitch, Scott, Carrie, John, Tessa, Emily, C.J. and Colby Bonson and Kitiarra Stidfole.
The also have five great-grandchildren: Gracie, Kylie, Cami, Aiden and Miles Mitch.
The couple enjoys spending time with family, and their dog, Peggy Sue.
They attribute the success of their marriage to determination and forgiveness.
