Howard and Shirley (Matthews) Hoover, of Newton Hamilton, are marking their 60th wedding anniversary with family at a celebration being held today, June 4, 2016.
They were married May 19, 1956, at Newton Hamilton United Methodist Church.
Howard and Shirley are parents of five children: Judy (Harshbarger), of McVeytown; Kathleen (Klouser), of Elizabethville; Jeffrey, of McVeytown; Janet (Lancaster), of New Paris; and Kristene (Smith), of Cranberry Township.
They have 17 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
Howard retired from Ford New Holland, Belleville, and enjoys woodworking.
Shirley enjoys puzzles and crocheting.
