UNIVERSITY PARK – The Penn State men’s and women’s fencing teams start the new year at the Dake Michanik Invitational at the University of Pennsylvania, from Saturday, January 17 to Sunday, January 18 in Philadelphia, Pa. Fencing foil on the men’s side will be Spencer Burke, Alessio Fukuda, Dusan Zeljkovic, Yaroslav Muruhin, Tit Nam Cheng, Matthew Gonzalez and Julian Chin. UNIVERSITY PARK – Penn State men’s volleyball swept the first conference awards of the season as Sean Harvey was named EIVA Offensive Player of the Week and Ryan Merk was selected as the Defensive Player of the Week. The Nittany Lions picked up the honors after opening the season with a four-set win over Mount Olive and a sweep over Manhattan at Rec Hall. UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Sophomore forward Nicole Hall has been named to Sweden’s Olympic women’s ice hockey roster ahead of the 2026 Milano-Cortina Winter Olympic Games. Joining her is alum and 2022 Beijing Winter Olympian Jessica Adolfsson ’21 as both were named to Sweden’s roster Monday morning. Hall is the second current Nittany Lion named to the 2026 Winter Olympics, joining Tessa Janecke (USA).
