John B. Renno

John B. Renno was born to Crist and Leah (Peachey) Renno on July 27, 1948. He peacefully and quietly passed away in the early morning hours on Nov. 17, 2025 at the Geisinger Medical Center in Danville at the age of 77 years as the result of a stroke. He was born and raised in the Belleville community. He attended an Amish school for eight years. John was married to Lavina Peachey on Nov. 20, 1973. They enjoyed almost 52 years together. Chris D. Houtz, 67, of Mifflintown (Licking Creek), died on Monday, Nov. 17, 2025. Viewing will be from 10 to 11:30 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 24 at Brown Funeral Homes, Inc., Mifflintown. All other services and interment will be private.

Donald A. Laub, 88, of Lewistown, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2025 at his home. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 22, 2025 at Vira United Methodist Church, 111 Long Lane, Lewistown, PA 17044, with Pastors Josh Randolph and Luke Shinskie officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to King-Barr Funeral Home LLC, 120 Logan Street, Lewistown.

Carl D. Hopple, 83, of Big Ridge Road, Lewistown, died Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2025 at William Penn Healthcare in Lewistown. A funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 21, 2025 at Harshbarger Funeral Home, 3 South Market St., McVeytown. Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until the time of service Friday at the funeral home.
