Fraudulent scheme targets unemployment
HARRISBURG — Pennsylvania Treasurer Stacy Garrity on Monday warned Pennsylvanians that scammers are using fraudulent text messages to target recipients of unemployment compensation benefits — potentially including normal unemployment compensation, Pandemic Unemployment Assistance and Federal Pandemic Unemployment Compensation.
