Indians victorious on walk in seventh

From staff reports

MIFFLINTOWN–When wins seem hard to come by, teams will take them any way they can get them. Juniata has been in a bit of a slump, but Josh Bomberger drew a bases loaded walk in the bottom of the seventh inning to walk off against Millersburg, 7-6.

Juniata jumped out to an early lead, putting up a five-spot in the second inning. However, Millersburg responded by scoring at least one run in four-straight innings, spanning from the third to sixth.

Heading into the seventh inning, the score was knotted at 6, but Bomberger’s walk plated Paul Ames and Juniata was able to escape with the win.

Juniata will square off against Greenwood, on Tuesday.
