BOALSBURG – Despite out shooting St. Joseph’s, Juniata Mennonite just could not get the ball into the back of the net for the equalizer as the Lions fell 2-1 in an Allegheny Christian Athletic Association girls soccer game Tuesday.

“We played a much better game tonight than we did in our opening game last week,” Lions coach Todd Taylor said. “We gave up two goals to a really nice player in Marsh the first half. We made some adjustments in defense in the second half and were able to shut her down. Our defense played really well in the second half.”

“I feel we dominated play in the second half, but had difficulty finishing our chances,” Taylor said.
