The MLB Draft League announced on Monday that Ryan Rivera of the State College Spikes was named the league’s Hitter of the Week for July 1-6, 2025.

Rivera has raised his batting average over 140 points over the last two weeks, and now holds a .351 mark that is good for third in the MLB Draft League. The LIU product collected 11 hits, nine RBI’s, seven runs and three extra-base hits during the Spikes’ six-game winning streak last week. Rivera has also strung together a 12-game hitting streak, tied for best in the MLB Draft League this season.

The San Diego native is the second Spike to earn mention on the MLB Draft League’s honor roll in 2025 after Roman Kimball captured Pitcher of the Week honors for June 16-22, 2025. Rivera is the first Spike to be named MLB Draft League Hitter of the Week since Brock Wills achieved those honors for the week of July 8-14, 2024.
