LOCK HAVEN – After leading the Lock Haven softball team to a perfect 4-0 week with a monsterous week at the plate, freshman slugger Blaire Balestrini was named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division Athlete of the Week, the conference office announced on Monday afternoon.

Balestrini was on an absolute tear all week to lead the Bald Eagles to a 4-0 record and vault the program back into postseason contention.

The freshman finished the week 9-for-15 with four home runs, nine RBIs, seven runs scored, two doubles and a triple.

Balestrini hit three home runs on Sunday in the sweep of Millersville, including two in the game two victory.

In the sweep over Mansfield, Balestrini finished 6-for-7 with a grand slam, a triple, two doubles, four runs scored and five RBIs.

As a freshman, Balestrini is currently tied for fourth in the PSAC with seven home runs.
