Trojan makes All-State football team

The Pa. Football Coaches-Select All-State teams for Class 2A, 4A and 6A were announced on Friday.
Mt. Union’s Nasir Collins made the second team offense. The sophomore running back made the team after a strong showing this high school football season.
Central Clarion’s Jase Ferguson was named Player of the Year for the 2A squad and Troy’s Jim Smith earned Coach of the Year honors.
On the 4A team, Lampeter-Strasburg’s Caileb Howse and Clearfield’s Brady Collins were named Co-Players of the Year. Howse’s coach Victor Ridenour and Bonner-Prendie’s Jack Muldoon earned Co-Coaches of the Year.
In 6A, State College’s Ty Salazar was named Player of the Year and Haverford’s Luke Dougherty received Coach of the Year.
