Indians rout Wildcats, 56-29
MIFFLINTOWN — Regan Lowrey posted a team-high 18 points as Juniata beat Halifax on Monday, 56-29.
Reagan Burd added 10 Juniata points and Aubryn Deihl collected six points. Grace Reinhold and Carolyn Heidenreich each had six points.
For Halifax, Lauren Sharbaugh had 12 points.
Juniata outscored Halifax (5-7) in the final half, 28-11.
Juniata (9-3) has won six of their past seven games. They face Belleville Mennonite (5-5, 2-3 ACAA) today at 5 p.m.
Blackhawks down Tigers, 56-21
DUNCANNON — Susquenita girls basketball defeated East Juniata Monday, 56-21.
Ayahna Fleisher had 14 points for the Blackhawks and Kaydon Brandt added 13. Tierney Stempfle corralled nine points.
For EJ, Carolyn Dressler and Landyn Cramer had eight points apiece.
EJ was outscored in the first half, 35-7.
The Tigers (6-7) host Line Mountain on Thursday.
BOYS BASKETBALL
Halifax drops Juniata, 58-39
HALIFAX — Brandon Schell scored 15 points as Halifax toppled Juniata boys hoops Monday, 58-39.
Josh Zamurak added 13 points for the Wildcats. Liam Himmelberger and Waid Gainer each had 11 points.
Juniata (5-7) got 20 points from Jasper Shepps and Damien Vance tallied nine points. Ricky Guante added six points for the Indians.
Halifax (11-3) outscored Juniata, 35-17, in the second half.
Juniata visits Belleville Mennonite (2-7, 1-4 ACAA) today at 7 p.m.

Huskies draw with Cougars
LEWISTOWN — The Mifflin County Junior High boys basketball teams hosted Palmyra on Monday and came away with a split.
The Husky seventh grade boys got things off on a winning note by outscoring Palmyra 16-3 in the fourth quarter en route to a 24-20 victory.
Husky Landon Cunningham had a game-high 14 points while Connor Donovan added eight.
The Mifflin County eighth graders dropped a tight game, 24-21. The game was tied with 40 seconds left but Palmyra made plays down the stretch to secure the victory.
Husky Rowan Deamer had a team-high nine points while Justin Cruz added five points in the loss.
Both Husky teams are back home Wednesday as they host Milton Hershey at the Mifflin County Middle School.
