Barth, Dressler lead Tigers to TVL win

East Juniata 48, Newport 39
NEWPORT — It was a tale of two halves as East Juniata made a second half surge to pull out a 48-39 victory over Newport in a Tri-Valley League boys basketball game on Tuesday.
The Tigers were led by the trio of Tanner Barth, Owen and Wayne Dressler.
Barth scored team high of 15 points, Wayne Dressler had 14 and Owen Dressler added another 11 for the evening.

SPRING MILLS — Despite a big second half, Mount Union just could not recover from its woes from the first half in its 37-32 loss to Penns Valley on Monday.
The Trojans were outscored in the first half 22-13. But turned it around in the second half outscoring Penns Valley 19-15.
Camille Posey led the Trojans with a game high of 12 points.
