Mustangs fall in scoring battle

Scholastic Sports

HUGHESVILLE–The Mustang’s Braedon Reid dropped a team-high 25 points in his team’s 78-72 loss to Hughesville on Tuesday night. Reid was an impressive 13 for 17 from the foul line.

A slow start put Midd-West down 14 points at the half, but the offense woke up and made a solid comeback attempt. However, Hughesville’s Nick Trevouledes scored eight of his 30 points in the fourth to keep the Mustangs at bay.

Chris Fisher added 14 points for the Mustangs while Hunter Wolfley’s eight rebounds and Cole Shutt’s six assists led the team.
