Midd-West drops season opener to Lewisburg, Huskies’ swim meet postponed

LEWISBURG–The Midd-West girls basketball team opened the season against the Lewisburg Green Dragons on Saturday, in Lewisburg. The Mustangs lost the opener by a final score fo 53-29.
Chloe Sauer provided most of the offense for Midd-West, scoring 13 points and sinking six shots. Bella Fave also scored in double-digits, tallying 11 points on five made shots.
The Mustangs struggled in the first half, scoring just nine points. The Green Dragons poured in 28 points and held a solid lead.
While Midd-West improved in the second half, they could not dig themselves out of the hole that they put themselves in.
The Mustangs are set to play at Benton, today at 6:30 p.m.
