BMS defeats Grace Prep

BELLEVILLE–Belleville Mennonite hosted Grace Prep in girls basketball on Tuesday night. The Thunder handed Grace Prep a 35-23 loss.

Chloe Renno dropped a game-high 16 points for Belleville Mennonite, 10 of which came in the second quarter alone.

Belleville Mennonite travels to take on Columbia County on Friday.

BELLEVILLE–Belleville Mennonite had three different players score 14 or more points in its 57-48 win over Grace Prep on Tuesday.

Ben Aungst and Frankie Pannizzo each dropped 16 in the win. Jared Flood added 14 points in the victory.

“Offensively we controlled the pace for the whole game,” Belleville Mennonite coach John Pannizzo said. “We were really patient. We made the extra pass which opened up easy shots. Ben hit some clutch jumpers and Frankie really attacked the rim tonight.”

Belleville Mennonite travels to take on Columbia County on Friday.

McALISTERVILLE–Juniata Mennonite’s offense got off to a slow start, but picked it up as the game progressed, cruising to a 60-27 win over Walnut Street Christian on Tuesday.

Twelve different Lions scored in the win, with Ike Shawver leading the way, dropping 14 points.

Juniata Mennonite hosts Northumberland Christian in their regular season finale on Friday.

MOUNT UNION — Mount Union had three players who scored in double digits in its 64-21 victory over Moshannon Valley in Inter-County Conference girls basketball action Monday.

Kendra Gardner led the Trojans with 18 points, Camille Posey had 17 and Karrigan Woodward added another 14 for the night.

Mount Union is awaiting its playoff fate in District 6.
