BELLEVILLE - Dorothy J. Runk, 85, of 313 King Lane, Belleville, and formerly of Ferguson Valley Road, McVeytown, went to be with the Lord, surrounded by her four children, on July 23, 2013, at Valley View Haven, Belleville.
Born on May 3, 1928, she was a daughter of the late Clark and Julia Emma (Casner) Kane. Her husband, Wayne E. Runk, whom she married on June 5, 1949, at the Christian Missionary Alliance Church, Mount Union, preceded in her in death on March 12, 2002.
Surviving are: four children, Wayne C. Runk and wife, Kathi, of Marienville, Susan R. Brodie and husband, Lance, of State College, Ronald E. Runk and wife, Carol, of Lancaster, and Peggy J. Wien and husband, James, of North Huntington; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Two granddaughters preceded her in death, as well as two infant siblings, Henry Kane and Bessie Kane.
She was a member of the Mount Union High School Class of 1946 and a member of Spring Run Church of the Brethren, McVeytown.
Mrs. Runk retired, after 25 years of service, from the former Luck Monument Company of Lewistown.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 29, 2013, at Robert D. Heath Funeral Home, Mount Union, with Chaplain Gerald Peachey officiating. Interment will be in Germany Valley Cemetery, Shirleysburg.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, and 9 to 10:30 a.m. Monday, at the funeral home.
