MIFFLINTOWN - Anita D. DeFrank, 35, of Mifflintown, passed away on Friday, May 10, 2013, in the emergency room of Lewistown Hospital.
She was born May 22, 1977, in Lewistown.
She is survived by: her husband, Craig DeFrank, whom she married July 12, 1997; two children, Melanie DeFrank and Cole DeFrank, both at home; her mother, Thelma Ann (Dunn) Rowles and companion, Chuck Blewett, of Mifflin; one brother, William A. Rowles Jr. of Mifflin; and her extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins and all of the DeFrank family.
She was preceded in death by her father, William Andrew Rowles Sr.
Anita was a 1995 graduate from Juniata High School.
She ran her business, Mommyshelper.com, from her home.
She was a member of the Mifflin Fire Company Auxiliary, volunteered at the Juniata County Food Pantry, and attended St. Stephen's Lutheran Church.
She crocheted, made hooked rugs, and did many other handcrafts. She enjoyed giving personal, handmade items to people. Her greatest joy was her family and her children and taking care of them.
A memorial service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 15, at St. Stephen's Lutheran Church, 8489 Licking Creek Road, Mifflintown, with the Rev. Chris Mathiason officiating.
There will be no viewing, but family and friends may gather between 5:30 and 7:30 p.m. at the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to Guss Funeral Home, 20 S. Third St., Mifflintown, PA 17059 to defray the funeral cost.
