McCLURE - Orville "Big O" Theodore Knepp, aka The Fabulous Mr. Fix-It, of McClure, passed away peacefully Thursday, April 25, 2013, surrounded by his devoted wife and daughters.
He was born in McClure, one of four children, of the late Josephine (Marks) and Lester Ira Knepp Sr.
After graduating from Lewistown High School, Orville volunteered for the Navy and spent four years meeting men who would later become his lifelong friends.

On Feb. 25, 1956, he met and married the love of his life, Pearl Kerchner, and together they raised a family while Orville worked tirelessly as a carpenter, first with Jack Hess Construction and later, retiring after many years from Standard Steel.
Orville leaves behind to forever miss his smiling face: his wife of 57 years, Pearl; daughters, "Terry" (Doug) McMinn, and Lucinda "Cindy" (Bill) Knepp-Hartman; five beloved grandchildren, Heather and Eric McMinn, Megan, and Tessa and Abby Hartman; his sweet sister, Patricia (Skip) Ritter; his awesome younger brother and lifelong friend, Lewis C. and his fabulous wife, Carol; along with many special nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his older brother, Lester Jr.
Orville enjoyed reunions with his Navy buddies from the USS Sturtevant and USS Grand Canyon.
He was a lifelong member of Wagner Methodist Church, Alfarata, Lions Club, Masonic Lodge, Altoona Jaffa Shriners, Moose Lodge 143 and other organizations too numerous to mention.
A celebration of life will be held at 5 p.m. Monday, April 29, 2013 at Wagner Methodist Church.
The family will receive friends beginning at 4 p.m. Friends and family are welcome to a light supper following the service.
