As my dad says, we are beating a dead horse
To the editor:
Thank you Mr. Becht for your eloquent yet conflated resignation. If common sense was a commodity I would buy you some. Alas, it is not.
In the spirit of decorum and fairness to one’s opponent I hope you can one day see the fault in your delusional reasoning. We are on opposite sides of the political spectrum yet we are both interested in how our government functions. Relative to our current topic, my father would say, we are beating a dead horse. We will not convince each other of the other’s viewpoints.
I feel sorry that you cannot see the difference between opinion and facts, or that the current legislative battles going on right now in so many states across the country, is a direct result of the “worst election in American history.” Or that you think there are more than male and female sexes, or that the world will end soon if gas and oil are burned or that we need more Supreme Court justices, or that we need open borders or spending our way to prosperity is fiscally sound and more and more government is the only answer!
The Revolutionary Flag “Don’t Tread On Me” was about individuals telling government to back off. That idea and commitment stands today in conservatives!
For myself, I will continue to defend the Constitution and its principles.
