Thank you to all who provide great care
To the editor:
I recently was hospitalized due to COVID and pneumonia. Thankfully, I only had to stay in the hospital for nine days. During those nine days, I had excellent care given to me by the third floor staff, which I am so appreciative of all of the staff at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.
I am on dialysis and prior to being hospitalized, the staff at Davita Dialysis are always so caring and watching out for me to make sure I am OK before leaving after my treatment. I appreciate the staff at Davita for the care they show all of their patients.
I want to say thank you to my family, friends, Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital, Davita Dialysis, Fame EMTs, my church family at Wagner United Methodist Church and everyone that took time out of their day to think about or pray for me during my time of need.
I strongly believe that it was my faith in God, positive attitude and willingness to do whatever I was asked by the doctors and nurses during my hospital stay that pulled me through this. My goal is to encourage just one person that is suffering or going through a hard time to try to stay positive, have faith and follow whatever you may be asked to do by your doctors and nurses, you can pull through. If this 86-year-old can do it, you can too!
I would also like to thank Ashley Freed and everyone that donated or helped with the Christmas trees that were given out to the COVID patients. I was blessed enough to receive one and it brings me great joy every time I look at it.
Thank you all again for your thoughts and prayers and remember stay positive! May God bless you all going into 2021!
