Elect a clown, expect a circus
To the editor:
I’d like to respond to Larry Craig’s letter to the editor on May 1.
First, he stated that the Democrats blocked the travel ban on flights in the House by a vote 220-0. Aren’t there any Republicans in the House that voted? He also stated that Trump mentioned the virus in the State of the Union address, which I don’t care. Larry you missed the point.
In November, Trump and his cronies knew about the virus and did nothing. Then Trump turns around and sends over 17 tons of Personal Protection Equipment to China to fight their virus. What about us having 17-plus tons more of PPE that we really need to fight this virus?
Dr. Fauci was one of the few people in the press conference on the virus that spoke the truth about the virus. And that was live TV, so no one could twist the facts. But what did Trump do? Almost dislocated his shoulder patting himself on the back.
You said the swamp needed to be drained — but today its still over flowing. Our own Intelligence people documented and stated that Russia did interfere with the 2016 elections. As far as impeachment, I think both parties should be embarrassed that they wasted out tax dollars and embarrassed our country.
Now in closing, something to think about, in 2017 Trump and the Republicans were in control of both the House and Senate. What did the accomplished for the taxpayers? Very little if that! A favorite saying of my very wise grandfather was “Elect a clown, expect a circus!”
