Thank you for supporting Mother Hubbard’s Cupboard

To the editor:

On behalf of Mother Hubbard’s Cupboard, I wish to thank the 16 volunteers who provided food for 4,428 people in 2019. They served 1,897 families, including many senior citizens as well as households with children and young adults.

While MHC has been housed at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church since 1972, it is generously supported by almost 50 individuals as well as fifty businesses, churches, and community organizations. MHC receives no funding from the state or federal government.

Our community can be proud of the generous spirits and warm hearts that helped so many households in 2019.

But hunger is a daily challenge for many people in Mifflin County. We will be grateful for your financial support this year either as a one-time gift or as monthly contributions. Mother Hubbard’s Cupboard is a 501(c)3 charitable organization, and all of your financial gifts would benefit the needy in our area. If you need information on how to make a donation, please contact me at rector@stmark-lewistown.org or phone (814) 571-0687. If you would like to visit us on Water Street, we are open from 9 a.m. to noon Tuesday through Thursday and 2 to 5 p.m. Friday.

If I have accidentally overlooked your contribution, please for give me — and let me know so that we can correct our records.
