Elks grateful for help in winning tab challenge

To the editor:

Once again the Lewistown Elks held its third annual tab challenge for the Pa. Elks North Central District in which there are 11 lodges.

With the help of our local communities and many local businesses the Lewistown Elks won the Tab Challenge for 2019 with a total of 290 pounds which equates to two 55 gallon drums of tabs. Tab recycling money is donated to Susquehanna Service Dogs, which provides service dogs for disabled veterans. We could not have accomplished this without the support of our local communities and businesses. We look forward to your continued support for our 2020 Tab Challenge. A huge thank you goes out to Harry Harmon and Peg Shawver and the following businesses for their support of our Tab Challenge: Lingle’s Distributing, Big Valley Beverage, Brooklyn Fire Co., Sherwin Williams (Lewistown), Fraternal Order of Eagles, Yeagertown Fire Co., Harshbarger’s Sub N’ Malt (Mifflintown), Kline’s Market (McVeytown), Bargain Beer & Soda Outlet, Toot’s Place (Reedsville), Captain Jack’s Beer Distributing, Snedeker Oil – Main Office, Valero – Snedeker (Lewistown), Valero – Snedeker (Burnham), South Side Hoagie Shop, Harvey Smith’s Barber Shop, One Stop Communications (Cricket Wireless), NAPA (Lewistown), Robert P.
