Thank you to all who made Safe Night possible

To the editor:

On behalf of the Burnham Lions Club and the children of the Burnham area, I would like to thank all those who assisted in making the annual Burnham Lions Club Halloween Safe Night a tremendous success. Approximately 385 persons visited the Lions’ Community Building for the event.

Special thanks goes to the following area businesses and organizations which contributed items to be distributed to the children, games or money to make the event successful: Burnham Borough, Giant Food Stores Burnham and Lewistown, Boy Scouts Troop 6 and Cub Scout Pack 6, Vince’s Pizza and Family Restaurant in Burnham, First National Bank-Burnham branch, Hartley’s Potato Chips, Middleswarth Potato Chips, Weis Makets in Burnham, Sweet Frog in Burnham, S&S Trash Service, St. John’s Lutheran Church in Lewistown, Barnabas Brothers, Hoss’s Steak and Sea House in Lewistown, Wilson’s Meats in Juniata Terrace, Burnham Fire Co., KFC of Lewistown, Citizens Bank in Burnham, Subway in Burnham, Boy Scouts of the Shawnee District and Ned Kauffman.

Personally, I would also like to thank all those members of the Burnham Lions Club who worked tirelessly to make sure that Burnham Lions Community Building was properly decorated for Halloween and who helped distribute items to the children on the evening of the event.
