Lifesaving work of chopper crews is a huge blessing

To the editor:

I am 66 years old and enjoy flying even though I am not a pilot. I mainly take great respect in every time I see a helicopter take off from (Geisinger-)Lewistown Hospital no matter if it is a Hershey Life Lion or Geisinger Life Flight, plus whatever other type is used.

If it would not be for the work and skills that these crew members have and use, there would not be the lives saved today that are.

I was at one time transported to Hershey Medical Center by Life Lion and my one granddaughter was also transported to Geisinger-Danville by Life Flight.

If it would not have been for the work of the crew, she would not be with us today. Every chance I get when I am at Hershey or Danville, I make it a point to meet with the people that work with these helicopters. They have always treated me and my family with great respect and friendship.

Whenever my wife and I see a helicopter take off from (Geisinger-)Lewistown Hospital, we say a prayer for the patient on board and also for the crew members.

May God bless you all for the great work that your do. We are very grateful to have you here for us all. May God bless each and every one of you.
