Milroy Lions to hold spaghetti dinner Thursday
To the editor:
The Milroy Lions Club wishes to announce its January spaghetti supper. It will be held Thursday at the White Memorial Church, Main Street, Milroy.
We will be serving from 4-7 p.m. The menu will be the same: spaghetti, meatballs, salad, bread, applesauce, drinks and homemade desserts. Some of the desserts this month will be provided by friends and family of the recipient.
This month we will donate the net profit to Sheila Krick Umbenhour. Sheila is the mother of two adult sons. She is also a school bus driver. She has had a long and complicated series of health problems. Her problems started with infection of her brain. Part of her treatment was an induced coma. This was for a period of several weeks. She needed therapy and rehabilitation. She was at Valley View Rehabilitation Center for a period of time. During all of these problems and treatments, she also suffered a stroke. The good news is she is on the road to recovery.
Please join us on Thursday for a good meal and a time of fellowship as we reach out to help this lady who has many expenses not covered by insurance. We charge by donation only. You, the general public, make these fundraisers a success and we humbly thank you for your support.
