Manager goes above and beyond to return lost purse

To the editor:

On Sept. 16, I left my purse at the Lewistown Subway after a cross country meet. I live in Laurel, Montana, and when I got home I noticed I did not have my purse.

I called Subway and the staff told me that my purse was indeed there. The manager, Laura, offered to mail it back to me but when she took it to the Post Office they would not accept payment from me over the phone.

So I went to the FedEx office here in Billings and paid for a shipping label to have my purse shipped back to me. I faxed the shipping label to the Shipping Center in Lewistown. I called the manager, Laura, of Subway again and gave her the address to the shipping center.

Laura happily took my purse to the shipping center for mailing. Today, I have my life back. I want to say thank you so much for your honesty, Laura – you have no idea how much this means, especially in the world we live in today.

Thank you to the Subway staff who courteously took my phone calls of panic and passed on my messages. You are all to be commended for your courtesy and honesty. Thank you so much.
