Thank you for supporting lip sync contest

To the editor:

Thanks to everyone who annually supports the Mifflin Juniata Special Needs Center Inc. Lip Sync contest. This was the 29th year of the show and it was held at the Mifflin County High School on March 5. The community attendance reaffirmed that people from our community support us in the work that we do. Thank you so much for celebrating the evening with us.

The event was kindly made possible by the support of the following: the Mifflin County School Board, administration and maintenance staff for the use and care of the facilities; the MCHS sound, lighting and stage crew led by Roger Herto and Matt Moore; the MCHS Media students; our judges, Frank Jost-The Sentinel, Erik Lane-Star Country, Mike McMonigal-United Way of Mifflin-Juniata, Kevin Kodish-county commissioner, Allana Hartung-Kish Bank; tally master Myron Stoner from Huber & Associates; special performers Bailee Zendt, and Day Program Participants assisted by Joan Loewen; and our emcee Mel Thomas.

Of course the show wouldn’t be possible without the contestants. We applaud all of the contestants; they are all winners in our book.

The local media graciously promotes and covers our show and we appreciate the many patrons, friends and sponsors who made financial contributions. These folks are too numerous to name. Special thanks to Darren Renninger who collected the most patron ads this year, West End Service Store for covering the cost of tickets, and Aktion Club who handed out programs. We appreciate all of these friends!
