Nanciann ‘Nan’ R. Haller

Nanciann “Nan” R. Haller, 95, of Lewistown, passed away at 7:15 a.m., Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2024, at William Penn Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.

Born Oct. 31, 1928, in Laurel, Del., she was a daughter of the late Herbert E. and Isabel (Koons) Readdy.

In addition to her parents, Nan was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Maxwell Haller in Nov. 1973; brother, H. Allan Readdy; and sister, Jacquelyn Righter.

Nan is survived by her children, Deborah A. Haller and Timothy H. Haller, both of Mifflintown; three grandchildren, Jennifer Macknair and husband, Norman, of Lewistown, Eric Becht, of Mifflintown, and Hanford Haller, of Belvidere, N. J.; great-grandchildren, Dakota Macknair and wife, Adrienne, of Chambersburg, and Chayce Macknair and fiancÈe, Amanda, of Shippensburg; and a great-great-granddaughter, Aria.

She was a graduate of Yeagertown High School, Class of 1947, and a member of Grove Memorial United Methodist Church, Lewistown.

She was employed as a sales representative at Wilson’s Jewelry Store in downtown Lewistown for many years.

Nan enjoyed spending time with her family, taking scenic drives and spending time outdoors. She was the unofficial greeter at William Penn and will be missed by the regular visitors coming to visit their family and friends.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Private interment will take place at Old Church Hill Cemetery in Port Royal.

Memorial contributions in Nan’s memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
