Clara E. ‘Bridgie’ Schmidt
Clara E. “Bridgie” Schmidt, 93, formerly of Reedsville, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 2, 2023, at Menno Haven Retirement Community in Chambersburg, Pa.
Born on Jan. 5, 1930, in Lewistown, she was a daughter of the late Charles W. Carson Jr. and Vera V. (Goss) Carson.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank J. Schmidt, and sisters, Beatrice J. Story, and Elma M. Weaver.
She is survived by sons, F. Jeffery Schmidt and wife, Margaret, of Gardners, Pa. and Mark D. Schmidt, of Elizabethtown, Pa.; grandchildren, Ellen G. Schmidt, F. Joseph Schmidt, and Ean D. Schmidt.
Clara was a life member of First Baptist Church in Lewistown.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., on Saturday, Sept. 9, 2023, at Calvary Bible Church, 111 E. 3rd St., Lewistown, with Pastor Sean Moon officiating.
