Theodore ‘Ted’ Betlyon Jr

On Friday, Aug. 4, 2023, Theodore “Ted” Betlyon, Jr., loving husband, father, and grandfather, died at age 75.Ted was born in Lewistown, PA to Theodore and Larue (Baxter) Betlyon. He grew up in Burnham, PA, and graduated from Chief Logan High School in 1966. Ted moved to Delaware in 1972, and would call it his home for the rest of his life. Ted met the love of his life, Peggy, after he moved to Del-aware, and they married in 1976. They raised a son, Rafe, and two daughters, Valerie and Sabrina. Ted was a mechanic for many years, and retired from Kraft. Not one to sit around, he then went on to enjoy working part-time at MHS Lift. He was a true jack of all trades who could fix or build just about anything, includ-ing the log cabin he built for his family. He was always willing to lend a hand or help troubleshoot a problem for anyone who asked, and he made friends wherever he went. He always had a dad joke and a laugh, no matter how tough things got. Ted was preceded in death by his father, Theodore Betlyon, Sr. He is survived by his wife, Mar-garet “Peggy” Betlyon, his son, Rafe Betlyon, his daughters, Val-erie (Casey) Gordon and Sabrina (Michael) Butkera, his grandsons, Gabriel, Jared, and Callum, his sister Debra (Larry) Schlegel, his mother, Larue Betlyon, and many other beloved extended family members. To honor Ted’s wishes, there will be no funeral service. We invite you to privately celebrate Ted’s memory in your own way
