John A. Langton

John A. Langton, of Palmyra, passed away peacefully at home with family by his side on Saturday, June 25, 2022. He was born Wednesday, May 18, 1932 to the late Daniel P. and Laura (Rummel) Langton. He is survived by his loving wife, Geraldine M. (O’Kane) Langton.

John was a faithful member of the Holy Spirit Catholic Church and dedicated to the Knights of Columbus. He was the Mayer of McClure, PA and also a family physician and owned his own practice, West Shore Clinic where he practiced for over 30 years. More than anything he was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and uncle.

In addition to his wife he is survived by his children: Karen Moad and husband Charles, Patricia Ann Snook, and John A. Langton, Jr.; grandchildren, Karl Moad and wife Laura, Kelly Brenneman and husband Roger, John D. Snook and wife Elizabeth, and Michael P. Snook; great-grandchildren, seven; sister Susan Thuer; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial mass will be held on Saturday, July 9, 2022 at 11 a.m. at the Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 300 W. Pine St., Palmyra, PA 17078 with Father Anthony Dill Officiating. A time of visitation will be held from 10 AM until the start of the service. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
