Linda F. Snook

Linda F. Snook, 80, of Lewistown, passed away Thursday, May 12, 2022, at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.

Born September 29, 1941, in Reedsville, she was a daughter of the late Warrior “Ward” D. and Margaret (Dalzell) Narehood.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by; her first husband, Charles L. Barlett; infant twin boys; a son, Gary L. Snook Jr.; daughter, Susan Yocum; grandson, Sammy Yocum; an infant brother; and siblings, Ronald Narehood, S. Ward Narehood, Evelyn Michalichik, Margaret Wilson, Elizabeth Carson, Robert D. Narehood.

She is survived by; her husband, Gary L. Snook Sr., of Lewistown, whom she married in July 1998; children, Kimberly Goss and husband, Brian, of Granville, Denise Peachey and husband, Willis E., of Reedsville, Heidi Wyant and husband, David, of Alfarata, Christie Snook, of Burnham; daughter-in-law, Billy Snook, of Lewistown; grandchildren, Justin Kauffman and wife, Kim, of McVeytown, Eric Kauffman and wife, Kendra, of Lewistown, Cody Peachey and wife, Anna, of South Dakota, Clayton Peachey, of Texas, Christopher Snook, of Burnham; grandchildren, Jackie Wyant, of Burnham, Aaron Snook and wife, Elaine, of Lewistown, and Trevor Snook, of Lewistown; and seven great-grandchildren.

Linda attended Samuel’s Church. She was a member of the Eastern Star in Bellefonte.

She was a Kishacoquillas High School graduate, Class of 1959.

Linda worked for Sears and Wise Eyes.

She enjoyed camping, cooking, and baking. Family was very important to Linda. She was a caring and supportive wife, a loving mother, and grandmother. She was always interested in their lives.

A viewing will be held from 10 – 11 a.m., Monday, May 16, 2022, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, 108 First Ave., Burnham, with a funeral service to follow at 11 a.m., with Rev. Clark Kelsey officiating.

Interment will take place at Church Hill cemetery.
